 The
Matsuyama University library functions in the role of
the cultural center of the area, as well as both an academic
research center and a students' education center. The
present library was built in 1975 in commemoration of
the 50th anniversary of the university's foundation, and
consists of five floors above the ground and two floors
in the basement. It is located at the center of the campus
and is kept in quiet circumstances. The library has a
newspaper and magazine corner, a microfilm archive, a
reference literature corner, an audio-visual corner, a
library search corner, and a reading guidance room, in
addition to reading rooms on every floor. The library
has about 910,000 volumes.
The entire material of the library can be searched through
the library search web page. In addition, various library
activities meetings such as a reading guidance gathering
and database searching seminars are held. Local citizens
are also able to utilize the library. |

 There
is a student interchange room on the first floor of the
Yushi-ryo Dormitory which is on the north side of the
campus. This space was established to enhance interchange
between Japanese students and foreign students of the
university. |
