The University of Lancashire is located in the city of Preston, Lancashire County, in the southwest of England. Its conveniently-located campus is 40 minutes by train from Manchester, an hour from Liverpool, and two hours from London. The University of Central Lancashire was founded in 1828 and has about 35,000 students. It has links with more than 120 institutions around the world, and around 2,000 international students from more than 100 countries study here. A national comprehensive university, it has faculties in the human sciences, education, arts, social sciences, science and engineering, and medicine.
